Photinia fraseri - Fraser's Photinia, Red Tip Photinia
Fraser’s Photinia explodes with bright bronze-red new growth, contrasted with big clusters of creamy white flowers in spring. Leaves mature to a glossy dark green color. This medium growing evergreen shrub grows to 6-12 feet tall and 8-10 feet wide. It makes an excellent hedge or tall screen and can also be trained into a small tree or grown in a container as a formal patio tree. Pruning encourages new red leaf growth, however more flowers are produced when allowed to grow freely in spring. Fraser's Photinia does best when planted in full sun or partial shade with well-drained soil and regular watering. It is tolerant of alkaline soil, salt spray and periods of drought once established.
